Welcome to the League’s area of the FA Respect Programme. The League has worked with Birmingham County FA in order to be awarded the status of Charter Standard League.
We take this award very seriously and did not just want a badge to put on our website. We aim to continue to develop our League into the best possible place for all our players to develop through high quality matches played to the highest possible standards of respect.
Respect is the collective responsibility of everyone involved in football to create a fair, safe and enjoyable environment in which the game can take place.
The FA’s Respect programme provides tools for clubs from grassroots to elite football – to help ensure a safe, positive environment in which to play the game. Our league is signed up to the FA Respect programme and all our FA Charter Standard Clubs endorse the programme, with many embedding a specific Respect Coordinator within their club.
The MJPL strives to give clubs resources and information to help implement the FA Respect programme.
Our minimum standards:
|1||All players and coaches registered to the league will be expected to complete the code of conduct before taking part in any matches|
|2||All matches to be played with a respect barrier or fixed barrier in place|
|3||All matches to have the respect handshake before kick off|
|4||All referees who with to officiate MJPL matches must have a valid CRC and must have undergone respect training|
|5||The MJPL will actively promote the FA’s online “Respect Parents” module|
|6||Home and away teams still report on match day standards|
